Papa Bear is part of the 3 Bears

I really don't like goodbyes but if goodbyes are like this...I might actually love it! Kidding aside, Kathy is migrating to Australia and invited us to their going away party 2 weeks ago. We went to Provident at this local  resto bar called "3 Bears" which I insisted its called Papa Bear... well THAT is according to Mr. Google. The pica pica costs around 79php and is cheap. Although as an Eastwood girl, I would still think P-Brown is the best :). But hey.... It's free flowing beer and order until the cook gives up.

This resto-bar I believe is owned or co-owned (not really sure) by Chef Nino. The "Katoque" dude which is the cousin of the friend of my friend.
The drinks is c/o Marvin's friend I think and it was aloooot. All photos from Chris.

Coors. Not that cold to make turn it blue. =)

Love the Chicken Wings. Swimming in Gravy

                                                                          Sisig anyone?

Well... good luck and best wishes on this journey. =) I can't wait for my turn for a super planned vacation/adventure. *crossing fingers* and hope not to jinx.

P.S. Can't wait for payday... =]

G8 Avenue

Again, if you are from Eastwood and spend most of your time there rather than being at home you will totally hate seeing your building. But again, the pleasure and the mood is totally uplifting. For one, if you are sick and tired of the everyday drama and people aaround you, you can just go down and take a walk. Grab a coffee and just sit and watch the Yayas walk their dogs and mingle.

After Jala Jala getaway, we went to Eastwood (ALWAYS since it's a drop point for our friends who resides in Libis and Pasig, we decided to have our late lunch. It was already 10ish when we arrived and we were looking for a place suited for our group of 10.

The savior would be Somethin' Fishy but the breakfast buffet is still 12 midnight. We were all hungry and pizza is not an option that night. I remember seeing Dencio's which has re-opened and when we got there the waitress told me that they are closed.

Beside Dencio's is "G8 Avenue" which seems to be expensive looking resto-bar. The waitress was telling us that they do not have service charge and all that. I told her we were like 10 and she was happy to show the packages that they have good for 3-5 people. The first package costs around 1,300 php and the second package is 1,400php.

If I remember it correctly, these are the food that they have for the package.

Cheese Sticks (YUM YUM!!!!! it's like mozzerella sticks)
Crispy shrimp
Chopsuey
Bulalo
Crispy Pata (in the absence of Roasted Chicken)
Beef Caldereta
Pancit Bihon
Bangus Belly
Crispy Catfish
Buttered Shrimp
Pinakbet
2 pitchers of iced tea
10 cups of rice

and

10 Hungry people

While waiting for our order, we were served with the "ICED TEA". It tasted like water with color and a hint of sweetness that I requested them to mix us another pitcher since it doesn't taste like iced tea to me.

Look how light the color is. It was nice of the waiter to mix us another pitcher and came back with a better looking and better tasting drink.

The Cheese Sticks. Really ooozing with Cheese. It is covered with bread crumbs and like a soft dough. It came with a dip. Really really yummy!

The spicy crunchy shrimp was next for another appetizer.

Here comes their Pinakbet.

Buttered Shrimps

Their Bulalo has a huge bone and just a few meat. But it was enough for everyone to taste.

Crispy Catfish. Full of breading and since I am sensitive with MSG, I didn't like it that much.

We stopped taking pictures because the food came and we started eating. =)

Since we are bang for the buck type of people, 270 for per head is a bit for us. So the price shall I say is a bit expensive. But generally speaking the price is just average. However, being cheapskate at most times, settling for Paper Brown Bag is better. This should remind me that it is a resto-bar in City Walk surrounding other food establishments.

Over all experience, I was full, happy and satisfied. We even brought home some left overs.

Birthdays and Goodbyes

Birthdays and goodbyes are sweet and bitter. We went back to Jala Jala for the nth time with our usual celebration. Either birthdays, christmas or goodbyes.

It's really nice to leave Manila once in a while. Suffocated with the pollution that buses, jeepneys and other vehicles and whatever emits, It's time to go and feel the breeze kilometers away from Manila. It feels icky but once you smell the carabao poop you know you are in the country side.

Angel and BB had a joint Birthday celebration to which we ended up, well it was Alecs who ended up drunk and me tipsy and having a love affair with the videoke machine. Can't stop singing Glee songs. I made 25 rolls of california Maki and 2 kilos of Buffalo Wings. 9 bottles of Vodka and a bag of jokes and laughters.Saying goodbye to Kathy who is going to Australia next month.

I have alot of pictures with us getting silly and crazy but I was always amazed with the landscape of our good friend's resort. The bungalows or "kubo" makes you feel relaxed and the view overlooking Manila de Bay is just fantastic.

Not much to be posted here but these are some of my favorite shots.

All unedited and too lazy to edit. Just so sad that it is just a weekend getaway. Reality check. Manila - Work - Traffic and B.S. Can't wait for the next vacay...

Just another Random Weekday

Before going to work, passing by Slice n' Dice and their 99php steaks seems to tempt me. Last time I tried their steak was like a couple of years back then. I love how you can request how it can be cooked and ask if they can make it spicy. It sure is spicy plus how they mixture of gravy and a hint of butter. awesome! I dragged BB to eat there for lunch and try it out again.

We were welcomed by I think the manager/owner who took our order.
We had T bone steak and Steak ala pobre.

It took 5 minutes to wait for our order so I had to take pictures

Before, they just had soy sauce and Knorr and some hotsauce. Now, they have it on bottles.

Finally! The steak has arrived. =)

Smells good and yummy too!

We also got kangkong which is yum yum yum!!!! =)

Sorry for less description. These are all backlogs :)
