Tower + Chris Evans = Saturday Love

Why you so HOT?!

On KFC's Tower Burger:

Trying to enjoy the fruits of my labor on a Saturday is really crazy. First, traffic in MLA is awful! like really really bad. Payday + Malling? Yeah, hate to break it to you but I went for it! First we went to megamall to meet up a bunch of people then went to Robinson's Galleria (because I have a feeling that there are less people in there) to watch a movie and relax a bit. Well honestly I was trying to be as far as I can from Forever21 and my favorite shoe boutiques. So as long as I am not with my new company yet , then I still have my wallet stuck in the freezer.

It was around 3:30 and we went straight to the cinema to get the schedule of Captain America. So the next show will start in half an hour and it was perfect for us to grab some food before watching.

Taking the challenge was trying to eat the whole KFC Tower. For 100php (ala cart) it is definitely worth it! EVERY SINGLE BITE. YUM!

KFC's Tower Burger

I did underestimate this. It didn't fit my mouth when I was going to take a bite.

I can't even do my usual style of eating burgers. Like flattening it before taking a bite. It didn't work.

Bun - Mayo- Lettuce - Thick Chicken Fillet- Cheese-Hash brown- Bun

I guarantee aside from the "So Good!" slogan it really makes you feel full! It was the first and last meal for the day.

On Chris Evans:

We took the tower inside while watching Captain America. I guess the ladies enjoyed this more than the men. Tommy Lee Jones lines were sarcastically funny and Chris Evans is good enough for dessert! Why?? scroll down.

Why you so hot?!

He is one of those Hollywood crushes that I have and sitting on the forth row + that HUGE screen makes me want to scream.

THIS PART!

Yes this part!!! I had goose bumps when I saw this part. Makes me want to touch him too! SHUCKS I COULD HAVE SEEN IT 3D Version! XD

Any way that is for now for the movie. It was really nice movie although I didn't expect the story ending. Makes me excited for the Avengers now. =D men and their tights. Awesome!

Ohh No No - Nobu

Just this Julyish... we went to Nobu for my brother's post birthday lunch. Struggling to wake up at 9 am and head to Macapagal Ave. In Bluewave, we were able to be there just in time for lunch.

Nobu (well according to them) offers Japanese / Korean cuisine. I was all excited about grills and hot pot but once we got there there were a lot of things going in my head. And it all starts with the word "WHY". I saw that their normal price is 350.  With rather poor selection and number of dishes being offered claiming that they serve "authentic" japanese and korean dish I would rate them 5/10. For one, I'd like to praise them for their complimentary iced tea (which is not your typical tea) and their Korean Beef which I seem to remember most. The Maki on the other hand is composed of HUGE cuts which means big enough to choke with and the filling is HOTDOG . The hot pot is well, erm ok NO SHRIMP in sight. Oysters yes and some usual clams and mussels.

Nobu's complimentary Tea (tastes like water to me)

so we had to order Iced tea (Left) You can really see the difference.

Errmmm the hotdog maki, beef and veggie tempura.

Most memorable korean beef. (sorry for the blur)

Huge slices that doesn't fit your mouth =D It would be nice if it was bite size portions.

The sea food selection. Octopus and so on. Not included on the picture are the squid and fish balls.
NOT even a shrimp and crab in sight.  =\

I was hoping for the grilling experience. =(

Placing everything in the pot.

Just for the heck of it.

Over all, I was really full because of the beef. The place is small and the buffet table can like hold 6 main dishes and others are just the slices of veggies and noodles.

They should get rid of the hotdog.

But still it's food.

Sambo Kojin next week!

The Random Food we Eat 1

Food Finds.

On those random days visiting Forever21 was exaggerating and ended up being impulsive.

Settled on what I could find in the FC.

Takoyaki. Those battered balls of squid and yeah squid.

I never knew that I can have so much fun eating this.

ChuX!

It's 6 am and I am still wide awake. My boyfriend is waiting for me this afternoon however if I sleep in 3-4 hours I think I'll be awake by evening. Aside from my usual job hunt (which I have been doing this month) Don't get me wrong, I love my work right now being an Incident Control person but I think I need to move a little more. Anyhoo, I have been uploading pictures of the stuff that I dump into my stomach to feed my hungry little pets inside.

I think it was May when I bought discount coupons for MoMo and one of the things along the MoMo coupon that I bought is Chuck's Deli.

Chuck's Deli is located beside the Stone House Grill in Eastwood.  A bit expensive (well it is expensive for me) for a sandwich definitely worth a try. It costs around 280-400php for each sandwich. You can check out Munchpunch for menu listings.

Slabwich ( a massive 10 inch sandwich made of Ciabatta) is their specialty. This massive sandwich will definitely make you full for the whole day and I can't even finish a whole slab and just opted for a half slab.

*Sorry for the images. I was in a hurry to go back to the office and requested for my slabwich and float to go.

Really nice and comfy atmosphere. Makes you feel like you are in school or something with the chalk board.

Oh yes people enjoying their sandwiches

The chuck's sauce. LOVE IT!

My not so nice shot of my to go root beer float.

AND YES... BACK TO MY TABLE which you can always see the keyboard. Like I mentioned in my previous entry, I always take my food pictorials infront of my computer lol.

They ask you if you want fries or onion rings to go with your sandwich. Onion rings it is. They make mean onion rings. So crunchy and HUGE.

BUFFY

What I can recommend is Slay the Buffy. They have this promo (those EAT within 5 minutes and its FREE) and eating the half slab already took me 10 minutes or more. I like to savor what I eat rather than munching and swallowing everything.

Buffalo Spicy Chicken fillet (really thick!) with Ciabatta bread and lots of spicy sauce.

Thick spicy awesomeness.

Look at the Skippy bottle! haha on a work desk! Just amazing...

Oh yum....

What I recommend is the Philly Cheese Steak and their Milkshakes. Try to slay the Buffy you might get a free shirt and bragging rights on their webbie.

Good Food. Awesome.

Back to MoMo

Few months back, I got this coupon thing from Pakyaw. I love MoMo and I purchased in a heart beat. So after a few weeks or shall I say a month, I went back to MoMo to treat myself with a "It's the same sh*t, different day" office hiatus.

Oh yes... I do I do!

I love their cheese and bread while you wait for your order.

The Baked Macaroni

While seems to be popped in the oven for a few minutes. Not really pure macaroni. It is mixed with penne and I'm not really a fan of that type. The taste is more of sour but just right. It has a lot of tomatoes and parmesan and right amount of beef. I also under estimated this as I thought it wasn't enough for me and my friend but we were already pushing one another to finish the pasta.

Pasta... you will be remembered.

And since we were in a so called "diet" state what ever that non existent word means in our daily food intake, we opted for the beer battered fish which came with corn and potato wedges. YUMMY. This is one of my favorites including the ribs.

Although MoMo is a bit pricey now, it's definitely worth a try. Huge servings and to share platters are the best. Although what disappointed me this time is that they didn't give chocnuts when we billed out.
