Food Camp

Monday is a bank holiday in the UK and Philippines. We had trainings the whole day and ended around 8pm. To enjoy the rest of the evening, we went to Food Camp in Katipunan beside Bannaple (the old one). I read in some blog that they have affordable burgers and seems to be very tempting. I told Chris about this and he was able to check it out since he lives in Katipunan. He said it was very good and the burgers are HUGE. Its better than Wham, Stackers , Johnny Rockets (as per Anne).

Oops! Forgot to take a picture of the whole menu.

The prices range from 99 pesos for single 1/3 pound patty which 2 choices of sauces which you can request seperate (which what we did) or include it on the burger. We like it seperate so that we can dip our potato wedges. If you are really hungry you can order the double patty and it will surely fill your tummy.

The Wagyu burger which is the most expensive is I thing less than 300 pesos or something.

4 of us ordered the Bravo Burger. 150 php

It has tomatoes, mushroom, cheese, lettuce and bacon. Potato wedges on the side YUM!!! Their buns have black sesame seeds.

Bravo Burger

Philly Cheesteak @ 99php

Eya ordered this and it looks really yummy! Just take a look at the cheese.

Mozerella Bombs @99php

Really ooozing with Mozerella Cheese with Garlic and Mayo dip. For the Win!

We also ordered Jalapeno sticks. Deep fried slices of Jalapeno with cheese covered in lumpia wrapper. It also comes with their garlic and mayo dip. I think it was 55php. Must try!

I LOVE their hot sauce! Aside from Tabasco, this Red Devil Cayenne pepper sauce is mild and a bit Tangy.

Would definitely go back to try the Jalapeno Burger!

Awesomeness.

Rainy Saturday and my new Toys

This was the longest day ever. I haven't slept that much because I was looking after Leila (my dog) who has a fever. Friday morning 7 am, I rushed her to the vet because she was really sick. That was when we found out that she has a high fever (39.9).  Thank God she is all okay now. The doctor gave her shots to lower down the fever and some B Complex to make her energetic.

Such a cutie patoootiee!

So I slept for a few hours before going to the mall. Tagging my mum along, I was going to get a form for this model search. But before you can get a form, you need to purchase from the ladies section first. I was trying to browse through the clothes rack and can't find anything. Just this cute floral shorts which is like 600 bucks already. My mum can't find any clothes that looks cool either. Whoever is the designer for these brands must have some inspiration or some sort. There was this animal print shirt that I found which looks cool but the fabric is total fail. Dorothy Perkins, Forever 21 and H&M hello? You can be inspired by these brands. Anyway, I just told my mum that I wouldn't join any more and she agreed. I wouldn't be spending 800 bucks for something that I wouldn't be wearing anyway.

My mum said we should just get dinner instead. I was pretty hungry since I have not had any lunch yet. While we were on our way to look for a restaurant my eyes brightened up when I saw Etude House. By the way, we were in SM Fairview (I keep going on being very vague). I picked up a couple of items which I have been wanting for quite some time now which all amounted to 800 bucks. I guess this one is worth it because I really loved the items that I bought. After that, we went to White Hat for some yogurt.

Cherry , chocolate kisses and nuts for me.

Kiwi, Cranberry and nuts for dear mama.

My mum picked up some stuff from the grocery while I check out Tony Moly.
There were alot of people (oh yeah long weekend right) and I wanted to go home. Heavy rains tonight.

Moving forward, here is my Saturday Haul. New toys!

Pretty paperbags. Rawr!

Let's begin shall we?

Tony Moly Falsies. 88php

These lashes are sooo cute! Can't wait to user them! I Heart these!

Tony Moly Nail Polish 98php

Really kind of shocking pink which of course I fell inlove with.

Let's take a peek.

Hair Color 378php

I will be doing a post on this once I try it on my hair tomorrow. I only has bubbles that you put on your hair to do the coloring instead of the usual coloring treatment.

Lavander Nail lacquer.

soft pink almost peach nail lacquer.

Etude's Dear Darling Tint
less than 200php

I love lip stains! This one can be lip and cheek stain. Isn't that neat. I love how bright the color is when applied to the lips. Tony Moly has one which is the magic lip stain. It comes as a lip balm. When applied, it changes your lip color. I could have gotten that too but then I had to control myself. Tony Moly has this version too but a bit expensive.

And finally, in addition to my brushes.

Eye liner brush. 128php.

The bristles are very soft I'm in love <3

I made a one coating for each. L-R

Etude House Lavander and Soft Pink. Tony Moly's Pink shade.

One happy me. =)

I think I should be starting OOTD posts too.

National Sports Grill

Since I am still sick, I asked my brother and his girlfriend to accompany me going to Makati for a very important meeting yesterday. The weather is unbelievable. It was really hot even tho it rained. Is it because Makati is surrounded by tall and enormous structures? I have been spending my week inside the house and it really stresses me to see cars and traffic and pollution and all. Cold ugly truth about the weather. I am for green. =) Must save earth.

As we walk past the Greenbelt malls (outside) you can definitely feel that there is no wind and it was very dry and hot and sticky feeling.

We finally found National Sports Grill in Greenbelt 3 located on the 3rd Floor.  I have read some reviews about this and I was hesitant to try.

We sat at a corner. Thank goodness it was really cold inside. Hot outside. Cold inside.

Hmmm, for a sports restaurant, it is really gloomy inside. When we ate, there was not much talking unlike when we were in Mcdonalds earlier (OH THE DOUBLE SUNDAE FTW!). But dim lights? and empty seats?

I opted for a glass of water and skipped the soda. It was really hot and there is nothing that would keep you hydrated but H2O.

My brother chose to get Dalandan Juice. This was the hilarious part. When my brother asked the waitress about the juice if it is POWDER mix OR REAL FRUIT juice, the waitress answered "Liquid" I tried to hold on to my laughter but had to keep my head down instead. "Liquid po yung dalandan juice" What were we thinking? What was she thinking? But we all laughed anyway. We all know that the juice comes in Liquid form.

I was imagining HUGE servings on their meal. Only because I was really dehydrated and kept on drinking wate before our meal was served, I got a bit disappointed with the price vs. the servings. It is probably for sharing. But each plate costs almost 400++ pesos.

We ordered the Seafood basket which consists of calamares, fish fillet and shrimp.
The fish fillet is really good. The batter they used is really nice. It went out crunchy. Although I wouldnt get too much as I taste alot of msg.

Seafood Pasta

Bland. I love the bread though. The pasta could have used more basil and maybe cream or garlic.

Spare ribs.

Now thiss is what I am going to rave about. I love the sweet BBQ sauce. Major meal consists of 2 cuts and coleslaw, garlic rice and a fruit. I wish they just placed corn instead.

Peewee Pasta

Hello Jolly Spaghetti. It came in meaty and sweet. I like it but I was hoping that it didn't come out as a Jolly Spaghetti.  Again, love the bread.

Our bill was 1716php. Worth the experience. I think,,if I want to go American / huge dishes, probably go with Burgoo.

Until next time.

Tong Yang

Last week (before all these hospital events), we went to our Thai Massage appointment. Afterwhich, we headed to Tong Yang in Quezon Avenue to eat. Well it's somewhat like a post celebration of my dad's birthday. When we got there we had to wait until it opens. Dinner starts at 5:30 and we arrived 30 minutes early. So we had to wait until everything is being prepped.

Once everything was set, being the first customer, we settled beside the buffet table.
A variety of seafoods and meat are available. Stuff for making the hotpot (which I know nothing about) seems to be endless.

Choices to go into the pot. Crab, squid, shrimpt, fish.

My choices for the grill. Milk fish, Tocino, Duck and Chops.

My other plate consisting of shrimps hotdog and fish wantons.

1 out of the 4 plates that we had of US Beef. Thinly sliced and marinated. Best Seller!

My mum started to eat watermelons first while waiting for the lady to prepare the hot pot.

No idea, but she had the glass noodles, mushrooms and wantons and shrimp and fish and clams all in the pot. One of the OJT's was kind enough to help us prepare this.

While waiting to boil, the grill is placed with butter and the meats were next to be grilled.

Start grilling!!! =) I love 'em hotdogs grilled. :)

Good fe minutes and prawns are almost done.

Just a close up of the duck which is superb by the way!

Check out the Hot Pot. Almost ready! =)

I still can't get over the frog legs. I tasted it. it tasted like chicked but I would'nt try it again.

What if my brother has froggy legs. =))

For dessert, Big Scoop Ice cream in Mocha, Chocolate, Vanilla and Strawberry flavor.

The Buffet Table.

When you hear the bell ring, the crab is waiting. Buttered goodness. Yum Yum Yum!

And to end my 3 and a half hour gluttony, my own halo halo.

Good Food. Awesomeness.

Now I think im craving for ice cream.
